Hewitts Homestead is holding a one of a kind well-being workshop at their peaceful garden venue in Linton.
Have you always wanted to try Tai Chi, Breathwork or Qi Gong? Or perhaps experience working with a holistic healer who has a wealth of proven experience and knowledge in an array of alternative medicines? Did you want to try mindfulness but didn’t really know where to start? Interested in yoga, but you are a beginner and have been put off by the lycra? If the answer is yes, then this is the event for you. Don’t hesitate to book as spaces are limited and will book up fast. Workshops will be experienced in groups of six (max). Workshops will be steered towards the groups needs e.g. beginners and experienced participants are both welcome.

Vil Kalivati
In this fast paced life, where sleepless nights and a mind that doesn’t quieten is common. Come and learn a way to settle, re focus and re energise the body.
Breath work and Qi Gong are practices that are easily learnt that you can include in your daily routine.
Vil Kalivati will take you through a Breathwork and Qi Gong class. This class is designed as an introduction class into Breathwork and Qi Gong.
Scientific evidence supports the health benefits of Breathwork that positively affects the parasympathetic and sympathetic nervous system, allowing you to handle stressful situations whether it is a family crisis or a life and death situation. The workshop will include basic breathwork techniques that you can take away and include in your daily practices.
Likewise Qi Gong, the ancient Chinese exercises that detoxify and rejuvenates your body promoting long life health and wellbeing benefits have also been proven to be effective.
Vil has been practicing QI Gong and breathwork for 6 years but has a 40 year background in health, fitness and Martial arts.

Intuitive therapy
As an ‘Intuitive’ healer Susan Aitken has been helping people, both locally and internationally, for over ten years. Her multi layered skills allow her to tune in to your energy and support you in life in a way that is right for you. Susan will offer intuitive messages and guidance, as well as some of her favourite self care routines to enhance well-being.
She is a qualified Counsellor, Reiki and Auric Magnetic healer with a good grounding in many traditional and alternative treatments.

Mindfulness in nature
Mindfulness is a type of meditation in which you focus on being intensely aware of what you’re sensing and feeling in the moment. Vanessa will, without interpretation or judgment, guide beginners and advanced participants in this session.
Sessions are led by Vanessa, a qualified teacher of Health & Wellbeing (BSc, PGCE). She is also an avid believer in nature helping you on your way back to a happier and healthier you.
Nature is the answer. A slower pace of life, a moment to yourself to breathe and recharge. Come and spend time on you. Have the undivided attention of Vanessa to steer you through the mindfulness process, whilst surrounded by nature here at Hewitts Homestead.
Mindfulness has been shown to lower stress levels, ease anxiety and calm the mind.
Storm Sturm
Naturopathy: Storm started investigating naturopathy after some severe health issues of her own. After studying a 3 year Naturopathy Diploma with the Naturopathic College of New Zealand Storm is passionate about helping people find the answers they are looking for and guiding them on their natural journey back to good health. She encourages people to feel empowered, not powerless by their health. “I want people to know there is always more wellness available to them, no matter how severe their health or symptoms may be.”
