Bariatric Surgery Support with Vanessa
In November 2023, I travelled to Mexico for bariatric surgery — a decision that changed my life, health, and confidence in ways I never imagined. With the expert care of Mexico Bariatric Center, and the courage to say yes to myself, I began a powerful journey of transformation, and I want to help others do the same.
Now, I’m offering supportive, wellness-focused group travel experiences for those considering bariatric surgery in Mexico.
As a wellness guide, educator and celebrant, and someone who’s been there, I offer:
- Personal guidance before your surgery
- Group travel support to reduce stress and uncertainty
- Gentle pre-surgery preparation and post-surgery care tips
- A supportive, judgement-free space to begin your new life
This is your time to reset, release, and reclaim your health. Let’s do it together — with care, clarity, and compassion.

The first step is to complete this health questionnaire to see if you are eligible for surgery. No commitment whatsoever! Take a look here.
I started my journey in November 2023 at a size 24 UK size. My BMI was a shocking 49! I weighed 114.5kg, and 118kg at my heaviest. Within 12 months I was down to a size 14.

A further 6 months down the line; April 2025, size 8!

My life has changed so much! No aching feet at the end of a working day. The ability to walk for miles and miles without sweating, aching, panting or moaning, lol. I have so much energy now. A huge 62kg down from my starting weight. All because I had the strength and determination to go through with this surgery and reclaim my life.

I did see a surgeon in Wellington, NZ. He charged me $400 to tell me he wouldn’t do the surgery that I wanted, and I had waited 3 months to see him. It would have cost me $32,000+ to find another surgeon and have the surgery here in NZ. I started looking around and found Mexico Bariatric Center. I researched them a lot!! And to my surprise found that there was no negative press about them. In fact it was very much the opposite.

And now here I am offering to take groups across to Mexico and have the same life changing surgery (alternatives available). Sleeve to full bariatric RNY bypass, SADI-S or DS.
I will be taking group trips for surgery – every 6-8 weeks through 2026.
A typical trip starts on a Monday and arrives back 7 to 8 days later.
The cost starts at USD $6,995. which is approximately NZD $11,600. for sleeve or
Bypass costs = USD $8,295. which is approximately NZD $13,780 for bypass. Please note the NZD price will fluctuate daily due to the exchange rate.
